Research Use Only Policy

1. What "Research Use Only" (RUO) Means

Products designated as "For Research Use Only" (RUO) are intended solely for in vitro laboratory research. These products have not been approved, cleared, or authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any other regulatory authority for use in diagnostic procedures, therapeutic applications, or any procedure involving human or animal subjects.

RUO designation means these products are manufactured and sold exclusively for use by qualified researchers in properly equipped laboratory settings. They are chemical reagents intended for scientific research and experimental purposes only.

2. Who Can Purchase

Pepturus Health LLC products may only be purchased by:

• Licensed researchers, scientists, and principal investigators at accredited research institutions

• Employees of pharmaceutical, biotech, and chemical companies conducting legitimate research activities

• Faculty and graduate researchers at accredited universities and colleges

• Government and independent laboratory researchers with appropriate credentials

• Professionals who have the knowledge, training, and facilities to safely handle research chemicals

By completing any purchase on this site, you represent and warrant that you meet one or more of the criteria above, that you are at least 21 years of age, and that you have the legal authority to purchase research chemicals in your jurisdiction.

3. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited and violate our Terms of Service:

• Administration to humans or animals, by any route of administration, in any form

• Use in any diagnostic or clinical procedure

• Use as a food additive, dietary supplement, or household chemical

• Resale to unauthorized parties or individuals who may use products for prohibited purposes

• Any use that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations

• Use in any way not consistent with their RUO designation

Pepturus Health LLC reserves the right to refuse service to any person or entity we reasonably believe intends to use our products for prohibited purposes. Any purchaser found to be misusing RUO products will have their account permanently suspended and may be reported to relevant regulatory authorities.

4. Researcher Responsibilities

Purchasers of Pepturus Health LLC products assume full responsibility for:

• Ensuring all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing research chemicals are followed

• Proper storage, handling, and disposal of research compounds according to applicable safety standards

• Maintaining appropriate laboratory conditions and safety equipment

• Ensuring all personnel who may handle these products are adequately trained

• Compliance with your institution's internal review policies, IRB requirements, and ethical guidelines

• Obtaining any required permits or authorizations for the research activities you conduct

5. No Medical Claims

Pepturus Health LLC makes no claims, express or implied, that any product sold on this site is effective for any medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic purpose. No information on this website constitutes medical advice, and nothing should be interpreted as a recommendation to use these products in ways other than those described in their RUO designation.

The scientific literature and research summaries referenced on this site are provided solely for educational and informational purposes regarding ongoing research. They do not constitute endorsements or evidence of efficacy for any use other than laboratory research.

6. Liability Limitations

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PEPTURUS HEALTH LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR EXPENSES ARISING FROM:

• Any use of our products inconsistent with their RUO designation

• Personal injury, death, or property damage resulting from improper handling or use

• Any violation of applicable laws or regulations by the purchaser

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

The purchaser assumes all risk associated with the acquisition, handling, storage, use, and disposal of research chemicals purchased from Pepturus Health LLC. Our total liability in any matter related to a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product at issue.

7. Regulatory Compliance Statement

Pepturus Health LLC operates as a research chemical supplier. We are not a pharmaceutical manufacturer, compounding pharmacy, or dispensary. Our products:

• Are not FDA-approved drugs or medical devices

• Are not compounded pursuant to prescriptions under 503A or 503B of the FD&C Act

• Are not manufactured under pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) intended for drug production

• Are produced to research-grade standards appropriate for laboratory use

All products are tested for identity and purity by independent, accredited third-party laboratories. Certificates of Analysis are available in our COA Library. Purity is reported as ≥99% by HPLC.

Pepturus Health LLC complies with all applicable laws governing the sale and distribution of research chemicals. We reserve the right to decline any order that we believe may violate applicable law or the terms of this policy.

8. Export Controls

Purchasers are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable export control laws and regulations. Certain research chemicals may be subject to export restrictions under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), ITAR, or other applicable frameworks. By placing an order, you represent that you are not on any U.S. government denied-party list and that the products will not be exported in violation of applicable law.

9. Updates to This Policy
